Wood pulp for papermaking only removes lignin and hemicellulose, fully retaining the original molecular structure and form of natural wood pulp cellulose fibers, so it falls into the category of natural cellulose fibers. By contrast, regenerated cellulose fibers like viscose are produced through chemical modification, dissolution and spinning of wood pulp, which are classified as man-made regenerated fibers.
Paper yarn retains the natural hollow and porous structure of wood pulp via purely physical processes, featuring dry comfort, high toughness and faster biodegradability. Viscose fibers are restructured after chemical decomposition. They feel soft and boast bright color fastness, yet lose the original functional advantages of raw fibers.
We adopt special industrial paper. With the hydrogen bonding force of cellulose molecules and professional reinforcing formulas for papermaking, our products deliver excellent water resistance. They will not peel off or dissolve during regular machine washing, bringing great convenience for daily care.
As a natural cellulose material, paper shares similar fiber properties with cotton, and features good resistance to acid, alkali and high temperature. In industrial production, reactive dyes, vat dyes and sulfur dyes can be applied to achieve stable coloration.
The strength of finished paper yarn mainly comes from composite reinforcing substrates, while the paper sheet itself contributes barely any tensile force. The overall strength fully meets the performance requirements for fabric weaving, printing & finishing, and daily wear of garments.
Labeling standards vary by region:
Chinese market: Cellulosic material (Paper)
Japanese market: Non-classified fiber (Washi)
European & American markets: Paper / Others
It is recommended to double-check with a third-party testing institution before shipment to ensure customs clearance compliance.
Currently, paper yarn requires ultra-high strength and high purity of thin paper, so recycled paper cannot be used as raw material for the time being. We will keep conducting technical research and development to realize the stable addition of recycled paper in a certain proportion in the future.
